John Ogu serves out four match ban

John Ogu, who featured in Nigeria's 4:2 demolition of Argentina in November last year, is set to return to action for his team in Isreal following suspension for misconduct.

The big, strong and powerful defensive midfielder was banned for four games by the Israeli FA after he was sent off in Hapoel Beer-Sheva’s 1-0 defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv last month.

Ogu is set to return to action for his club against Ironi Kiryat Shmona in Wednesday’s quarter-final second leg Israeli Cup game as his four-match ban would have been spent.

Speaking on his official Instagram page, the grateful Super Eagles midfielder said: “Thank you to the real Supporters of my Club for the support during my suspensions. I think now I got to know the real people in my life and Career. I will keep fighting for you to put a smile on your faces. Love you all!!
