The fabulous Super Falcons are in buoyant mood as they drum up support from fans ahead of Friday's all important Afcon qualifier at home against Ivory Coast.
Taking to twitter, the team wrote: "We [the Super Falcons] are set for Friday’s game vs Ivory Coast.
We count on you for support from the stands at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja from 4pm. See you!"
Earlier, coach Randy Waldrum said: "The spirit in the camp is very high and positive. The players have been looking forward to these matches for some time now and their professionalism has been fantastic."
The Lady Elephants of Ivory Coast blocked Nigeria's path to the women's Olympic football last year. Waldrum's ladies are determined not to let history repeat itself.
"I’m not big on past history as that is why they call it history," said coach Waldrum. "The previous matches have no bearing on this one," he concluded.
