Over the years, supremely talented players have left the shores of Nigeria for pastures anew in search of fulfilment in their football careers.
Whilst not all of them have gone from NPFL clubs, those who have - like Shehu Abdullahi - have commanded mouthwatering transfer fees.
Some went, saw, conquered and have made a name for themselves in the Super Eagles (like Shehu Abdullahi) but others are either having moderate careers or just simply fading into obscurity after promising starts.
