Peter Olayinka Invited To The Super Eagles For Afcon

Slavia Prague sharpshooter Peter Olayinka, who has 1 cap for Nigeria, has been reportedly invited to the Super Eagles camp as last minute replacement for Victor Osimhen.

The Napoli striker is now almost certain to miss the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon following a recent positive Covid-19 test.

The NFF have moved swiftly to fill that void by handing a call up to Olayinka who many believe deserves a Super Eagles slot.

The lanky Ibadan born striker, who was once linked to a nationality switch to play for Albania, is predominantly a winger who can also moonlight as a centre forward if needed.

Meaning he will offer competition to the likes of Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze and Chidera Ejuke.

Olayinka, who has 6 goals in 21 games for Slavia Prague this season, will be a worthy addition to the Super Eagles and deadly in front of goal if deployed.
