Paul Mukairu turned heads in Belgium

Paul Mukairu gave his rising profile a major boost with a glorious goal in his team's 2:0 win against Beerschot over the weekend.

The FC Hearts Academy product showed the instincts of a true graduate winger to steal in from the left to stab home into the right corner of the net from an acute angle for Anderlecht's winning goal on Sunday.

“Paul has everything to become a special player,” said Man City legend who is now Mukairu's club coach Vincent Kompany.

If Mukairu continues to sow the seeds of hard work and application, he will inevitably reap the attendant harvest of success and greatness. He comes across as such a livewire from the flanks.

One sure to emit more sparks as the season progresses.

Mukairu has now scored two goals and recorded two assists in nine league appearances for Anderlecht since arriving on loan from Turkish club Antalyaspor in October
