Waldrum released his hit-list for the upcoming Olympics football games.
Chinonyerem Macleans' inclusion is welcome development for me due to her bruising and bombastic centre forward play. Shame we will not be able to see what Rinsola Babajide brings to the table but her time will come.
Ifeoma Onumonu has struggled to win over many fans with her languid style so her exclusion from the main list will upset only a handful of fans.
Rofiat Imuran misses out, paving way for Nicola Payne to repay Waldrum with quality displays.
Gift Monday is left out in the cold as are Regina Otu, Vivian Ikechukwu and Peace Efih, all quality players who should push hard for places in the Wafcon squad next year.
It is a very strong squad that Waldrum has assembled. It carers for everything: solidity at the back, coordination in midfield and firepower up front.
Good luck to the Super Falcons.
