Nigeria Can Shake The World in India - U17 World Cup Defender Claims

No-nonsense dashing teenage defender Miracle Usani, who is having a fairytale tournament in India with compelling performances, has affirmed in no unwavering terms that the Flamingos can scale the remaining hurdles on their way to lifting the 2022 U-17 Women's World Cup.

Having narrowly lost to the powerful Germany under controversial circumstances in the group stages and then dispatching the mighty USA in the quarter final, Usani believes that they can now successfully navigate whatever opposition they face in their last two matches.

The Flamingoes will battle Colombia tomorrow afternoon in Goa for a place in Sunday’s Final.

“I believe we can get to the final,” Usani said in an interview with FIFA.

“If we can beat USA, I don’t see any obstacle standing in our way.” She concluded.

Kick-off tomorrow against Colombia is 12 noon in Nigeria.

And to be honest, should the Flamingos avoid biting on the ampoules of complacency and maintain the highest level of concentration, very few observers will bet against them lifting the trophy.

They play a compact brand of football built on solid defence and a stinging attack with a hard working midfield.

Their approach, which has brought success thus far, is expected to hold out against their remaining oppositions.
