Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was nominated for Nantes Man of The Match award following his impressive performance in their 3-1 away win against Marseille, according to reports.
Limbombe, Bamba and an own goal from Gonzalez gave Nantes their 3 goals whilst Marseille's only goal came from Sanson.
To be nominated for Man of the Match without registering a goal to his name only goes to show how effective Moses Simon has become as a Forward.
It is now beyond doubt: the former Ajax youth player can now fight for a place in the Super Eagles centre forward position having played well for his club in this position several times this season
Moses Simon is an asset to the Super Eagles. He can play as a winger, left wingback, left full back and – as already mentioned – a centre forward, which makes him arguably the most versatile player in the team.
Whilst in Levante, Simon struggled to get into the team and also struggled to hit the headlines with scintillating performances as he currently churns out.
Speaking recently, the 23 year old said: “I am more relaxed and settled at Nantes, no pressure.
I am also playing to my full potentials because here I am a very offensive winger.”
I agree; indeed the winger is fulfilling all the promise his performances at Gent suggested he can produce which attracted interest from Liverpool at the time before going to Spain.
“At Levante, I had to fall back to help out in the defence.” said Simon.
“Now, I am a winger in a 4-3-3 formation as against the 3-5-2 we played in Spain. And so the goals and assists are coming now.”
Now that Moses Simon has added centre forward skillset to his toolkit, expect more goals and wonderful performances from this Frontman for club and country in games to come.
