Is Zaidu Sanusi ripe for Super Eagles invitation?

As the left fullback position of the Super Eagles continues to be a problem area, is a potential solution to be found in the Portuguese Primera Liga? Introducing Zaidu Sanusi. Sanusi, who plays for Santa Clara FC, has been in the squad 16 times out of 19 league games in the Portuguese top flight this season. He has started 7 of those games and has come off the bench 2 times. He played 90 minutes in 2 out of 4 Allianz cup matches and in one out 2 Taca De Portugal Placard Cup competition where he provided an assist with a delightful cross from deep. The left full back position in the team is highly competitive. The other option, Mamadu Cande (a veteran Guinea Bissau International left back) can not just be left on the bench hence why the coach rotates that position between Cande and Sanusi. Sanusi is a key part of the squad. A rugged defender with a powerful left foot, the versatile 22 year old - who can also play as a centre back and in left midfield - is certainly one to look out for. For Super Eagles fans who rate players largely on the league where they play their football, Zaidu surely ticks that box as he plays in the competitive Portuguese Primera Liga. Zaidu is having a decent season by all standards: his performances are rated 6.45 by whoscored and 6.71 by sofascore this season. Those are pretty decent stats. Should he be invited to national team? A Super Eagles fan said in an online platform: "Sanusi should become an undisputed starter in Santa Clara then he would likely be involved in the super eagles discussion. For now he should focus on his club career." he concluded.
