Are we about to witness the rebirth of vibrancy, vim and vigour in the Super Eagles' midfield department?
The midfield ensemble put together be Coach Chelle has the following:
1. World Cup experience x2
2. Afcon Silver experience x4
3. Afcon Bronze experience x2
4. Afcon R16 experience X3
5. Tournaments Qualifiers experience x6.
So, these are midfield fat-cats, the creams of the crop, the toasts of the town, the epitomes of creativity, the paragons of solidity.
It then beggars belief how any Super Eagles fan will complain about such cornucopia of capabilities, competencies, and class in our midfield for these encounters.
For every player that is invited, one player will miss out. That, my friends, is the natural law of the universe. So, let's not cry over the absence of Frank Onyeka and others, they will be considered in future.
Let us celebrate these invited midfield moguls and hope none of them gets injured for this do or die encounters.
Midfielders against Rwanda and Zimbabwe: Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium); Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi (New England Revolution, USA); Alex Iwobi (Fulham FC, England); Joseph Ayodele-Aribo (Southampton FC, England); Papa Daniel Mustapha (Niger Tornadoes)
