Is Ladan Bosso A Better Candidate for the Vacant U-23 Eagles Job?

Well, well, well… What can I say? Whilst Samson Siasia’s record of achievements, breakthroughs, excitements in underage football is untarnished, his bribery scandal has sadly tarnished his overall desirability.

I am embarrassed, ashamed, appalled to label myself as a Ladan Bosso fan, but that is what I am, who I am, so, sue me!

Bosso gave us Benjamin Fredrick, Tochukwu Nnadi, AC Milan’s Victor Eletu to mention but a few.

If his mind is in the right place, if he is focused, if he is driven, he has enough tools in his toolkit to qualify us for the Olympics. What we wil do once in the Olympics is another matter entirely – quarter finals, if we are lucky but no more than that!

It might seem I am not a high achiever. That, my fellow Super Eagles pilgrims, is not the case. In recent times, the bar of achievement in of out underage football has been set so low by adminstrative issues that it is in the gutters. We used to attain podium finishes in age grade football but nowadays, we struggle to even qualify. In this sort of atmosphere, half bread for me, is better than none.

And Ladan Bosso, based on his antecedents in the U-20s, can deliver half a loaf of bread in qualifiers and tournaments proper, sometimes with fishes of flourishing football in patches.
