It's hard not to feed off Benedict Akwuegbu's optimism.
"The truth remains that the Super Eagles have more quality and experienced players than Rwanda. That level of exposure will give them the edge on Friday," said the former Super Eagles striker.
Unfortunately we didn't get to see Coach Chelle lead the Super Eagles to a friendly match before now to gauge what he brings to the party.
So, it will be the proverbial baptism of fire for the former Mali gaffer.
Will he be cautious or will he go for broke?
Whichever way, the vibe just seems promising. I can't place my finger on it but the smell of victory is in the air.
All the invited players are in camp and majority of them are in form.
If nothing, I will be hoping the new-coach-bounce and desire to earn future invites will spur these players to victory.
