July continues to be a favourable month for Super Eagles left back Ikouwem Udoh as he featured in his 3rd game in a row for Macabi Haifa in the Israel Premier League on July 7.

Having being a perpetual bench warmer since May 30 when he last played for 33 minutes in the away loss to Hapoel Tel Avi, the 20 year old defender has now tasted action consecutively on July 1st, 4th and now 7th.

At a time when many fans were starting to become despondent about his limited opportunities in Israel, this news comes as a welcome development.

Out of 36 opportunities since August 2019, Udoh has only managed a meager 6 games. He will now be hoping to cement his place in the squad with his recent turn around in fortunes.

In the game this week, away to Hapoel Haifa, Udoh's team ran away 4:1 winners with the former Flying Eagles captain starting the match and playing for 58 minutes before being substituted. In the other 2 games this month, he played for 33 and 12 minutes respectively.

With the left full back position of the Super Eagles still very much up for grabs, Udoh will be hoping for a healthy run of club games to put him in the fray for future Super Eagles invitations.
