Flamingos Urge Nigeria Fans To Come and Watch Them Crumble Congo in Kinshasa

With the minutes ticking before Nigeria's Under-17 second round women's world cup qualifier away to Congo, the teenage Flamingos have urged fans to come out and watch them wave their magical footballing wand.

In a manner reminiscent of Wazobia style, Taiwo Afolabi (Yoruba), Joy Igbokwe (Hausa), and Chidera Okenwa (Igbo) made a rallying cry on social media to Nigerians in Kinshasa to come out and help turbo charge them to victory from the stands - the 12th member of the team, so to say.

The crunch encounter is scheduled for 3:30 pm today at the Stade des Martyrs Kinshasa.

In Yoruba, Taiwo Afolabi promised the fans that their expectations will not neither go up in smoke nor will it drop like a worthless sack of hot potatoes.

Rather the three Flamingos promised the fans (by inference and implication) of a compelling, vibrant and purpose driven brand of football.
