Exclusive: Gift Orban Could Finally Be Considered To Play For Nigeria

According to a report on ScoreNigeria news-website, a Nigerian senior football official exclusively informed their reporter that joint leading scorer in the Turkish Super Lig, Gift Orban, can now play for the Super Eagles.

“Gift is now eligible to play for the Super Eagles,” the football official was on record as stating.

The high-flying striker was first invited to the Super Eagles three years ago, but he eventually did not get to make his debut due to what was described at the time as “some administrative issues” even though the NFF announced he was injured in training.

Orban’s current form has nevertheless made the issue more prominent.

After scoring six goals in his opening five Süper Lig appearances, he moved level with Victor Osimhen on the league’s scoring chart at that stage of the campaign.

He then scored again and provided an assist in Amedspor’s 3-2 victory over Beşiktaş on September 20, taking his league tally to seven goals and two assists.

His performances have consequently renewed discussion about whether he could finally make his long-awaited Super Eagles debut.

And, according to the report on ScoreNigeria, Yes! Orban will be in Super Eagles colours in the not-too-distant future!
