Ebuehi and Chukwueze make Super Eagles starting 11 against Saudi Arabia


Afrofooty gathers that Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro unveiled his starting lineup for Friday evening's international friendly against Saudi Arabia at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão.

 

Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is preferred to last minute addition Maduka Okoye of Udinese.

 

Calvin Bassey is partnered in the centre of defence by fit again West Brom star Semi Ajayi. 

 

Unavoidable circumstances presented a chance for Bruno Onyemaechi to start at left-back, while Tyronne Ebuehi is given last chance saloon at right-back.

 

Peseiro has given two English-based players in Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi and Fulham's Alex Iwobi the nod in the centre of the park, with the duo starting in midfield alongside Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze.

 

The front two unarguably picks itself on current form with Napoli star Victor Osimhen partnered by Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface. 

 

Boniface is set to make his starting debut for the three-time African champions after coming off the bench against São Tomé and Príncipe in September.
