Dele Alampasu makes team of the week

Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Alampasu was one of Nigeria's high flier last weekend in Europe as his fine saves and overall goalkeeping output earned him a slot in Latvia's team of the weekend.
Playing against FK Lieipaja on Sunday, there is no doubt that Alampasu's club (FK Ventspil) could have finished the match with just 1 point from a draw. However, partly due to the 23 year old's agility and elasticity in goal, the match ended 2:1 in Ventil's favour.
A key point was in 52 minutes when Alampasu pulled off a sublime save by diving low to his right to punch away a definite goal bound effort. All through the match, he remained cool, calm, composed and commanding.

In 29 minutes, Lucas Villela had put Ventspil ahead with Danills Ulimbasevs doubling their advantage in 49 minutes. Artūrs Karašausks pulled 1 back for the visitors in 75 minutes after Alampasu had been injured in a clash in the build up having rushed in anticipation of intercepting the initial threat.
2:1 it ended.
Alampasu has now played 2 games in a row. He will be hoping for this run to continue.
