Coach Nduka Ugbade Talks Tough Ahead of Wafu Zone B U-17 Cup

“I am happy with the squad that we have been able to come up with, and I can say confidently that we are going to Ghana to do the nation proud. Our primary objective is to earn a ticket to the Africa Cup of Nations, and then we go full throttle for the trophy. Nigeria have a pedigree in U-17 football and we cannot afford to disappoint.” Coach Nduka Ugbade

Ugbade is beating the right drum with his positive vibes. What is left is for his boys to produce on the pitch.

Obviously, what they produce will reflect Ugbade’s technical input and tactical instructions.

This is a huge assignment for the 1985 Golden Eaglet legend. He was in the shadow of coach Manu Garba in the coaching crew of the exciting and hugely successful 2013 class of Golden Eaglet.

Ugbade is now the ultimate Chief of his own Golden Eaglets clan with the opportunity to mould the team in his own tactical image.

Already, he has renamed them from Golden to “Super Eaglets.” Fans now eagerly await super performances from his wards starting with Saturday’s titanic encounter against noisy neighbors Ghana.

Good luck to Ugbade and his boys!
