According to French news outlet, L’Equipe, Ligue A giants Marseille will pay €15m plus €5m in add-ons for the ubiquitous Nigeria forward Terem Moffi following his goals-filled seasons at modest Lorient FC.
Once finalised, Moffi will move to Marseille thereby following in the footsteps of legendary Nigerians Oruma and T. Taiwo who marvelled and mesmerised for the port city club.
Marseille is a club steeped in history and accomplishments. With numerous domestic and international accolades including Uefa Champions League trophy,
Europa League runners up medals and nine Ligue A titles, Moffi is definitely taking his career to lofty heights with this move.
In Marseille, his reputation as a bona fide 'high profile player' will be cemented if he goes on to produce anything close to the flamboyant outputs of Wilson Oruma and Taiye Taiwo.
From modest FK Kauno Žalgiris in the backwater league of Lithuania, Moffi has definitely climbed the pagoda of success and greatness considering where he is now and how he got there.
