I have always called for local content in the goalkeeping department of the Super Eagles. Naming 2 NPFL goalkeepers as worthy back ups to Maduka Okoye is definitely step in the right direction.
Some Super Eagles supporters often express lack of faith in homebased goalkeepers but I think this is misplaced.
Lobi Stars Stanley Nwabili showed massive potentials when he featured for the Super Eagles last year.
It is now up to Adewale and Ojo to grab their opportunity with both hands if given the chance.
The goalkeeping department was the achilles heels of the Super Eagles against Tunisia and Ghana despite the plethora of quality options in the NPFL.
Things might just be about to change.
