Nigeria and Ghana square off later this month for a 2 legged qualifiers to snatch the only Chan ticket on display.
Ghana's failure to qualify for the elite afcon competition has raised the stakes for the Chan qualifier between bitter rivals.
Ghana will pull out all the stops to stop Nigeria.
Eguavoen is not one for desk job. He likes the cut and thrust mushy mushy work of a coach, hence he sees this as the best opportunity to do that next year. So he too is hell bent for Nigeria's flag to flutter in CHAN next year.

This is not a done deal for Nigeria, my initial optimism has been dampened somewhat in how I feel Ghana are now a wounded animal further energized by the gravitas they always get from getting one over Nigeria - one thing Eguavoen knows all too well having been humbled by them in 2022.
So, when you consider the revenge angle from Eguavoen, Ghana's determination to save face following Afcon qualification failure, Nigeria's determination to return to Chan and the historical bad blood between Nigeria and Ghana and you have the making of a tantalizing titanic encounter between opponents implacably determined to dismantle and destroy the opposition.
I can't wait!
