Turkey based speed demon Aminu Umar said recently that he would still love to play for Nigeria although only 11 players can kit up for the team and that we are blessed with enormous talents (in his words).
In the same interview, Umar made no secret of the ambition to one day play in the Spanish La Liga.
Should that happen, do we see Umar in a Super Eagles Jersey anytime soon?
A Super Eagles fan said in a social media chat room : 'Any winger now dreaming of the super eagles should tripple their hustle'.
The 24 year old winger scored 6 goals for at Nigerian under 20 with 2 in the Under 20 World Cup in 2013. Also, he scored 2 goals at the Olympics in 2016.
However, his 4 appearances for the Super Eagles didn't yield any goals.
Earlier this year, Turkish Super Lig club Caykur Rizespor announced the permanent signing of Aminu Umar from Osmanlıspor.
He has played 6 out of 8 league matches this season with no goals to his name.
Should Aminu's hopes of returning to the Super Eagles have any chances of becoming a reality, he will need to add goals to his game, and do this fast.
