On-fire Paul Onuachu has been drafted into the Super Eagles squad to face Algeria and Tunisia in October friendly matches in place of high profile Victor Osimhen. As of the time of filing this report, the reasons for Osimhen's withdrawal remain unclear. The 2015 under 17 world cup gold medallist has started his club career in Italy on a slightly subdued manner having failed to find the back of the net in 2 league appearances for Napoli. Onuachu on his part has been ruthlessly efficient in the Belgian League this season having hit home 6 times in the last 4 league games. He has won the man-of-the-match award no less than 2 times this season as he continues to confound critics. A famous retired Belgium striker recently referred to Onuachu as the best striker in Belgium. The 26 year old Owerri born lanky striker, who is yet to win over many Super Eagles fans, will be hoping to add to his 1 goal for Nigeria so far in 6 matches (if selected to play in any of the friendlies).
