Are the NFF Recycling Failed Coaches In Making Ladan Bosso Under-20 Gaffer?

Writer: adeola bankoleadeola bankole

Veteran coach Ladan Bosso is sensationally set to return as Flying Eagles coach in a move sure to baffle Nigeria fans owing to the coach's unimpressive records.

The NFF are expected to announce the coach for the country’s Under-20s next week.

Bosso was first in charge of the Flying Eagles for the 2007 Under-20 World Cup in Canada, where the team failed to make any meaningful impact.

The same coach also led the Under-20 to failure in the sub-regional U-20 AFCON qualifiers in Benin Republic just last year. Bosso, who is president of the coaches association and so has a vote in the NFF Elections later this year, has widely been linked with a return to the Flying Eagles, much to the dismay of a platoon of fans.

It was hoped that the NFF would look to a newer more dynamic coach with innovative ideas to lead the Flying Eagles this time around. If Bosso's appointment is confirmed, the NFF would only have succeeded in doing the same thing the same way while expecting a different result. Nigeria will feature in the sub-regional qualifiers for the U-20 AFCON in Niger Republic from May 9.
