All roads lead to Spain this weekend as Afrofooty previews some Super Eagles players ahead of league hostilities in the prestigious Spanish La Liga.
Samuel Chukwueze – Villarreal
Since bursting into the scene last season Chukwueze has grown from strength to strength, his performances for both club and country are simply sensational compared with his age. He’s assured with the ball, difficult to dispossess and though his decision making is still deficient he would get better with time.
It’s been a tough start to the season for Villarreal who are 16th on the log with 2 points from 3 games played.
The main problem for Villarreal is their defence: the yellow submarines have lost 7 points from winning position this season.
Chukwueze has started all three league matches for Villarreal and substituted out just once this season.
Villarreal visits Leganes this weekend and will be hoping for a good result.
Chukwueze, has also netted once this campaign and is on course to having a good season as long as he stays fit, remained disciplined and consistent.
Kenneth Omerou – Leganes
Super Eagles defender Kenneth’s Leganes play host to Villarreal this weekend, Leganes. who are yet
to secure any point this season, have lost all their La Liga games thus far.
Omerou has started two out of three La Liga matches for Leganes this season will be hoping for positive result this weekend.
Omerou. who won the AFCON with Nigeria in 2013, will be hoping to start and go head to head with Chuwkueze when the both club lock horns this weekend.
Omerou, who was an integral part of the Leganes defence last season after staring 28 La Liga matches, will be hoiping this season follow would bring good tidings to both him and his club.
