Nwakali in town for second leg showdown

Reports reaching Afrofooty indicate that Youth International Kelechi Nwakali has arrived Nigeria ahead of next week’s second leg U-23 qualifiers against Sudan.

Nigeria shockingly lost the first leg 0:1 away.

21 year old Nwakali recently joined Spanish LaLiga 2 side Huesca on a free transfer from Arsenal. He missed the first leg on Thursday in Sudan but will now be available for selection on Tuesday on home soil.

The 2015 U-17 World Cup Golden Ball winner's availability will be a massive boost for the Imama Amapakabo led boys after his stellar performance in the Dream Team VII last home outing against Libya where he bagged two assists in the team’s 4-0 win.

The Olympic Eagles are expected to arrive Nigeria in the early hours of Saturday morning before flying to Asaba where they will be training ahead of Tuesday’s return leg.
