It was reported in the week that Hibernian announced the departure of defender Efe Ambrose after he triggered a clause in his contract.
It was said that the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, who has been linked to English League One side Plymouth Argyle, was offered a three-year improved contract at the Easter Road club but decided to move on.
Unlike when his departure from Celtic drew harsh comments due to numerous mistakes he made in big matches for the club, this time around, fans had nothing but nice comments to say about his departure from Hibbs.
Some comments extracted from contributors on BBC website included:
"Stepped up another level in consistency as well as being our player of the season so far. Good luck Efe, a class act who will be hard to replace."
"Every game Efe played, he gave everything along with ‘ that Efe Moment ‘ that was always waiting round the corner to happen. In saying that he was a solid enough defender and player."
"Efe was one of our best players, and one of the few really successful Lennon signings, so he'll be missed."
Originally on loan in 2017 from Celtic, Ambrose signed a permanent deal at Hibs that summer, making 86 appearances.
