Manchester United prevent Kehinde from training with Nigeria

Manchester United teenage prospect, Tosin Kehinde, who reportedly pledged his allegiance to Nigeria ahead of England according to Nigerian media platforms, will not honour coach Gernot Rohr's invitation to train with the Super Eagles.

His club, Manchester United, have requested he returns back to the team as he will now have to wait for another day to kick-start his formal involvement with Nigeria.

The midfielder, who now plays on the wings for the U-23s of the Premier League giants in the Premier League 2, is expected to resume club commitments shortly. Observers in some quarters are of the opinion that certain stakeholders may not keen for him to represent Nigeria however Afrofooty cannot independently verify this.

Officially, it is reported that Man United pulled him out of training with the Super Eagles, as they need him to resume training today ahead of preparations for their up coming Premier League 2 game.

He would have been allowed to stay with the Nigerian team if he was formally invited but that wasn’t the case with the midfielder, hence he is back at the club training base.
