Why Falconets Should Be Wary of Troublesome Tanzania In U-20 Women World Cup Qualifiers

This will be a titanic encounter without a shadow of doubt as Nigeria U-20s face their Tanzanian counterparts in a double header qualifiers next month.

Coach Chris Danjuma has released his initial list of players to be trimmed down before prosecuting the encounter.

Tanzania made it to the second round of last year’s Under-17 Women’s World Cup. Last year, their U-20 women stopped mighty Cameroon from advancing in the World Cup qualifiers.

This time around, this same U-20 Tanzanian ladies scored a basket load of goals to reach this round of qualifiers.

Their senior team only few weeks ago dumped mighty Ivory Coast out of the Women's Afcon qualifiers across two legs.

Danjuma’s damsels have their work cut out. There will shedding of sweat and a fair few crunching tackles to boot.

Having a walkover from the last round qualifiers robbed the Falconets the opportunity of preparing well for this encounter.

We will see whether that doesn't prove to be a poisoned chalice.
