Which Super Eagles Players Impressed at the Just Concluded Afcon?

All the players impressed; however, some impressed more than others. When I think of the players in this Afcon, I think of the following:

Defence:

Nwabali: In the annals of great Super Eagles goalkeepers in Afcon history, his place is now firmly secured as one of the most credible stoppers of penalty kicks.

Osayi-Samuel: For those who said he is only good as a second-choice fullback, he firmly put those people in their place.

Sanusi: It's hard to see him reclaim a starting shirt in the left back of the Super Eagles.

Ogbu: He did just about enough to earn respect and future invitations.

Ajayi: Proved he has class and gusto.

Onyemaechi: It is easy to overlook how picked off deadly opposition strikers and simply put them in his marsupium for safekeeping.

Awaziem: He looked a tad rusty and slightly out of place in the team.

Bassey: By far the pick of the bunch in defence with a display that screamed Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y all round!

Alabioshu: His best is yet to come.

Midfield:

Ndidi: You will have to travel from Abuja to Timbuktu and back 1 million times before you find a better tackler of the ball in DM.

Onyeka: The marriage between him and Miss Reliability can never be put asunder.

Dele-Bashiru: He seemed to struggle to produce memorable moments in the positions he was asked to play, even though he remained professional.

Iwobi: Your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman with his web of passes that decimated opposition defences.

Onyedika: This "Temu Ndidi" in DM proved a handful further up the pitch, where his goal-scoring credentials were further enhanced.

Lookman: Quite a revelation in centre attacking midfield, where he linked up beautifully with those in front and those behind him.

Attack:

Chukwueze: He razzled, he dazzled, he faded off screen as he couldn't do enough to nail down a starting 11 shirt, or even a regular substitute shirt, for that matter.

Osihmen: He was always a menace in the opposition box 18 even as his selflessness showed his greatness as a well-rounded centre forward.

Simon: A bit of a hit and miss, a bit erratic, a bit past-his-time, but opposition defenders still had to keep their eyes on him like a hawk because, love him or loathe him, Simon could still sting.

Onuachu: You can never fault his desire and commitment.

Adams: Went about his business with quiet efficiency and a high level of professionalism, but this guy can not dribble his way out of a paper bag to save his life.

Ejuke: He seemed happy just being around the team with a sort of charm that puts a smile on your face because he just always seems happy.
