With today's win against Ghana in the ongoing Wafu Zone B Under 21 Cup, Nigeria's Falconets are cruising to the heights of sub-continental greatness.

I am so happy to see Ramota Kareem shine in this tournament. She is a highly skilled striker with a bright future if nurtured properly.

Woman mountain Janet Akekoromowei is also one to watch. Her bruising style and purposeful approach marks her out as a centre forward of repute at this level.

Doing a double against Ghana in this Wafu tournament - Nigeria's bitterest rivals at any level - is no mean feat.

All the players have done well. They are ruthless in front and rigorous at the back in scoring goals and conceding less.

The team is rough around certain edges as their game-play, passing routines and overall integration can be better. However, the building blocks are there and this team is definitely moving in the right direction.

I look forward to players like Chidi Harmony and Peace Effiong returning to this team, then they will be even more unstoppable.
