Shocking! Ghana Gives Nigeria Just 2000 Tickets For World Cup Qualifier in a 40,528 Capacity Stadium

According to reports in some Nigerian media outlets, the Ghana Football Association has sensationally turned down the polite 10,000 tickets requested by the Nigeria Football Federation for their match against the Black Stars of Ghana next week.

Recall, Ghana host Nigeria in a 40,000 capacity Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Nigeria NFF had made an abstemious and reasonable request for around 20% of the total capacity of the stadium which would have amounted to a sensible 10,000 seats.

But in a shocking twist of events, Ghana only approved a scandalous 2,000 tickets which would effectively emasculate and drown out the effect Nigerian support in the Kumasi stadium that was approved last minute under controversial circumstances. The controversial announcement of the rather disgraceful number of tickets allocated to Nigerian supporters was said to have been made by the Ghana High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Rashid Bawa.

Nigeria have since released their list for the crunch continental encounter while Ghana continue to drag their feet in this regard with just a few days to go to the first leg.

The two-legged tie which will first take place in Ghana on March 25 before the return leg a few days later in Abuja will see either the black Stars or the Super Eagles qualify for the World Cup later this month in Qatar.
