Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala is in big trouble after criticizing Barcelona during a 0-0 barren draw with Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League on last Tuesday night.
La Liga holders could not find the net at Camp Nou for 90 minutes and suffered many threats from Slavia's attack led by Nigeria international striker Peter Olayinka.
The 25-year-old three-time African Women's Footballer of the Year took to social media to express her thoughts about the encounter as the tweet Leo Messi and company against the Czech side was simply: “Keep the bloody ball!”
According to Mundo Deportivo, Oshoala swiftly deleted her tweet in case of a backlash from Barcelona and face the wrath of supporters.
Super Falcons skipper later went on to praise Slavia Prague’s Super Eagles’ striker Olayinka, who was a constant threat to the Barcelona defense during the match, tweeting: "Peter no Dey tire#BARSLP”.
These actions may have vexed authorities in Barcelona and disciplinary action may be taken against her.
Barçelona Femení have been imperious in the Liga Iberdrola this season, winning seven and drawing one of their eight games with Oshoala scoring seven of the side’s 33 goals, with just three conceded at the other end
