The NFF are due a windfall from the financially Juicy encounter between the Super Eagles and their Russian counterparts on June 6; the first-ever friendly between both nations.
According to a reputable online media outlet, the Nigerian football federation will net as much as $500,000 (more than 800 Million Naira) for accepting to play this match.
This will include payment for a slice of the television rights for the match as well.
Nigeria have been criticised in certain quarters for accepting to play Russia as the East European nation is still sanctioned by FIFA for the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
