Ladan Bosso Jettisoned 15 Players From Flying Eagles

High Flying Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso, recently relieved 15 Players from the team's camp as he prepares for the 2023 Under-20 Afcon.

As rumours continue to swirl around the team of proposals to camp them in Egypt at some point to beef up preparations, some of the decamped players are unlikely to make a return.

The affected players, whose identities are withheld, were sent home in the first week of January.

“Players with injuries are not accepted because the national team is not a rehabilitation centre, so go and finish your treatment and probably, you can meet us in January,” Bosso disclosed to BRILA FM.

“So, I have given them that full break within the next two weeks. And those ones with passport issues, if you don’t have passport, there is no way you can play in the national team.”

The Coach Ladan Bosso led the Flying Eagles have been in scintillating form having smashed 17 goals past three opponents in friendly matches in Abuja.

The youth U-20 cadet defeated Paul E Sports Football Academy (5-0), Capital City (5-0) and Keffi Selected (7-0) in friendlies played, a telling affirmation of how ruthless they have been in front of goal.

Bosso has already extended invitation to new players to bolster the squad as they intensify preparations ahead of the competition.

The Flying Eagles are expected to engage in more tune-up games before they embark on Christmas and New Year break.

The 2023 U20 AFCON will hold between 18th February to 12th March, where all Semi-finalists automatically qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup.
