 Napoli's Nigeria superstar striker has tipped the Super Eagles for “greatness” at the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire in January.

“We have a great squad to do well, I’m proud of the team,” he said.

“We fight for the team because it’s a privilege to play for Nigeria. We expect greatness, we will aim for the trophy.

Nigeria has qualified for the tournament with a game to spare under unpopular coach Jose Peseiro .

Barring injuries, Osimhen is expected to be the arrowhead of Nigeria's forward phalanx in the tournament. 

He has been hugely successful in qualifiers and hopes to take this form to the tournament proper.
