Flying Eagles To Play With Renewed Tactical Vigor Against South Africa

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will be sleeker and suave tactically when they duke it out on Thursday against South Africa for the rights to play in the final of the 2025 U20 AFCON, according to a bouyed Coach Aliyu Zubairu.

“I believe we are going to have a great semi-final against the South Africans," he said.

"I can guarantee that our approach will be much better, as the anxiety of whether or not we will earn a FIFA World Cup ticket is no longer there." He mentioned.

The Flying Eagles have relied more on their physicality, athletism and raw grit to get them far in this tournament. Some fans have been yearning for a more refined approach that is grounded in creativity and technicality.

These fans might just get their wishes in this semi final.

"Against South Africa, we will play with great determination and composure, as we aim for the trophy," said Coach Aliyu.

The match is scheduled for this Thursday from 16:00 hours Nigeria time.
