Super Eagles Left Wingback Felix Agu, who won his first cap for the Super Eagles following his successful nationality switch, is already dreaming big.
"On a personal level, achieving something with the national team is even bigger than on the club level," he says .
"The goal (in the short-term) is to win the African Cup of Nations with Nigeria," he goes on to say.
The Super Eagles, who currently hold Afcon Silver, remain a formidable force in Africa with highly gifted players and a supremely competent coach in Eric Chelle. With players like Agu, Osihmen, Lookman, Aina and Uche, Nigeria should again be a force to be reckoned with in the Afcon this Christmas.
Regarding next year's World Cup, Agu said: "Of course everyone wants to see Nigeria on the biggest stage, to qualify for the World Cup, and it’s next year so we’ll try our best to make it,” he added.
With Nigeria languishing 4th on 7 points in the world cup qualification group, this dream seems forlorn.
However, if the Super Eagles fire on all cylinders in the remaining fixtures and events elsewhere go their way, Agu might well have his way with the team in the shortest term possible!
