Esther ‘The Real Deal’ Onyenezide is approaching the coming season with hope and expectation.
Having struggled to transition into the senior national team, the Super Falcons, the 22 year old midfielder will expect to add to her meager Super Falcons caps with compelling displays when club football hostilities commence.

Now kitting for Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem in Israel (after being unable to gain a foothold in Madrid, Spain), the centre midfielder is banking on healthy game time in Israel to strut her stuff on the pitch and power her way back to contention for the next Super Falcons Wafcon qualification campaign.
“(There are) lots of opportunities for playing time (in this club),” said Onyenezide in a recent interview with a local media outlet. “That’s the main reason. To prove my worth and make it back to the Super Falcons team.” She mentioned.

When asked about the position she loves playing the most, “Attacking midfield,” she replied confidently. “Playing as an eight, supporting striker.”
And that is one position where she can shine like a million stars for the Super Falcons.
All eyes will now be on her to see whether she can grab the season by the scruff of the neck with eye catching stats and all round resounding displays.
Onyenezide belongs to the immediate next generation of Super Falcons. She would need to seize the moment when the opportunity presents itself again, and, she has more than enough potent arrows in her midfield quaver to claim her national team slot compellingly.
