Super Falcons England-based striker Ini Umotong was introduced late for Brighton today as they were put to the sword by a ruthless Arsenal side who sealed their first Women's Super League title since 2012 at the Amex Stadium.
The match was played in front of a new Women Super League record crowd of 5,265.
The WSL's top scorer Vivianne Miedema fired in the opener off the underside of the bar early on, before feeding Katie McCabe to tuck in the second.
Beth Mead added a fine third, before Dutch midfielder Danielle van de Donk stroked home the fourth. Today's victory clinched the title for the Gunners with one match to spare.
Calabar-born Umotong was introduced in the 80th minute; by that time, they were already down 4:0 and her introduction did nothing to change the complexion of the match - 4:0 it finished.
Brighton stay just above relegation on 9th place in the 11 teams league.
