America-based goals machine Courtney Dike, who scored a hat trick for Nigeria in a recent friendly match against UMF Selfoss of Iceland, has said she is training and working hard to be involved in Nigeria's world cup campaign in June.
Having missed out on a place in Nigeria's squad for the 2018 Afcon and friendly tournaments (in China and Cyprus earlier in the year), Dike returned with a bang to score 3 goals as the Super Falcons ran away 6:1 winners against the Icelandic club side in last FIFA friendly window.
Speaking on her intentions of making Nigeria's world cup squad, the 24 year old said on goal.com: "I've continued to play for Oklahoma City FC and also train with the men's team of the youth club that I practice with.
I do personal training and my University coach has created a fitness packet for me to work on; I am maintaining my fitness and keeping my eyes on the goal for the World Cup and doing everything with the summer in mind."
