Thriller in Kinshasa: Flamingos Coach Bankole Vows To Extinguish Congolese Flames


The coach of the Nigeria Under-17 women's outfit aka the Flamingos has been very much defiant and forceful in hammering home the intention of his team to fly back to Nigeria with all three points on offer in this afternoon's world cup second round qualifier in Kinshasa.


The Nigerian contingent landed in Congo this weekend and have already had a feel of the stadium where the grass will suffer when hostilities commence this afternoon.


The winner of today's match will have one boot in the next round of qualifiers where they will attempt to avoid being mummified by Egyptian Nefertitis.


And coach Bankole is confident of his young damsels chances as he urges fans to go to the stadium, watch on television and access Internet feeds of the game.


“I can assure you that we are in Congo to make the country proud, ” said Coach Bankole.


"We will give Nigerians something to cheer with a maximum win that’ll boost our chances of qualifying for the next stage.” He enthused.

The Congolese hosts on their part said thar they are very ready for the Nigerian challenge and are up to the task of sinking the Flamingos world cup ambitions across two legs.

Even legendary Super Eagles World Cup striker Garba Lawal encouraged the young damsels to bring much distress to their hosts in a breakfast Pep talk.
