Flamingoes fans will be crazy to miss this U-20 Africa Games Football Final match between Ghana and Nigeria on Thursday this week: it will be a bloodbath.
The young Ghanaian ladies will want to extend their recent dominance against Nigeria in this do-or-die duel between bitter rivals, both determined to give no quarters whilst Nigeria will want revenge for their Wafu U-20 final loss to Ghana last year.
Ghana play like a house on fire, flooding into opposition box 18 with menacing numbers. They have speed, physicality and tactical prowess.
They will also have their vociferous large fans to count on.
These fans have filled the stadium for Ghana's games which is very commendable on their part.
Nigeria, who are undefeated with clean sheets in all their games, do not look as menacing as Ghana.
Danjuma ladies obviously score goals and keep it tight at the back. But, will they be able to march the relentlessness of Ghana? Will they be able to curtail Ghana's goal thirsty forwards? Will Ghana curb their own forward drives due to Nigeria's deadliness in front of goal?
It will be a tactical encounter. Ghana proved last year (in the Wafu U-20 final)that they can curb Nigeria effectively. They made superstars Opeyemi Ajakaye, Flourish Sebastian and Esther Onyenezide look toothless and ordinary before blowing Nigeria away in penalties.
Will Ghana triumph again or has Coach Chris Danjuma learnt a thing or two?
